They received the forms on 08/17/06 however the automated recording said that it will take 6 to 8 weeks for them to process the paperwork, THA'S A LONG TIME!!!!

12/26/05 I go to Cuba

send I-130 Petition

03/02/06 recived NOA1

04/03/06 send I-129 visa

04/13/06 NOA 1 for I-129F in mail

06/07/06 I-130 Approved

07/05/06 Ref in mail (129F)

07/06/06 send back (129F)

07/07/06 rcvd I-864 Processing fee bill &DS-3032

07/09/06 faxed DS-3032 to al

07/10/06 send I-864 fee

07/11/06 send DS- 3032 (next day delivery)

08/02/06 send bill $380. recived 08/08/06

08/09/06 send affidavit of support recived 08/10/06

08/16/06 send DS 230- arrived at visa center on 08/17/06 at 8AM

08/16/06 I129 approved

10/26/06 1-130 completed at NVC

02/12/07 Visa was issued

They always say that in their messages. But it usually takes them less time to review the DS-230.

02/25/2006 Petitioner receives AOS Bill in U.S. (Day 161)

02/27/2006 AOS Bill (regular USPS) and DS-3032 (Canada Post regular) are mailed out

03/21/2006 Petitioner receives I-864 package (Day 185)

03/22/2006 Beneficiary receives IV Bill and sends payment - regular mail (Day 186)

Whether it takes that long all depends on their workload. That is what I was told by a live person. He told me 6-8 weeks is the normal response but it all depends on their workload. In my case it took 3 weeks. Yours can be sooner or later.

In reality, it takes about 2-4 weeks to complete the DS 230 packet review.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

In reality, it takes about 2-4 weeks to complete the DS 230 packet review.

If every thing is OK, and I pray that it is after the 4 weeks it will go the interest section in Havana, and they will give him an appointment, so hopefully he will get his visa, I am only making plans, I mean I do have to get a apartment for when he comes, I have to get furniture, and I don’t want to have to pay rent for 2 or tree month ahead. I am only trying to guess how long till he is able to come.

03/18/2019 - Letter Notification Received for Biometrics waived.

06/03/2019 - Received Biometrics appointment notice  (usps). (notice date 05/24/2019)

06/04/2019 - Sent request to reschedule biometrics appt for 1 day delivery using usps since wife is out of the country.

06/05/2019 - ASC center received request to reschedule biometrics.

07/23/2019 - We ordered your new card online status!

07/24/2019 - Case Approved online status.

Hope they complete it within 1-2 days. They reviewed my I-864 and it was fine. Now, they are still reviewing my DS 230 part I.

2006-02-27: I-129 Sent

2006-03-02: NOA1

2006-07-24: NOA2

2006-07-31: Case received by NVC

2006-08-01: Case leaves NVC to New Delhi Consulate via DHL

2006-08-04: Case received by New Delhi Consulate

2006-08-08: Packet 3 mailed out by consulate

2006-08-17: DS-230 Part I couriered to consulate

2006-08-23: Got interview date (email and telephone confirmation)

2006-08-28: Picked-up packet 4 from the consulate, counter 16 (between 2 PM and 3 PM)

2006-09-20: Interview Date (VISA Approved!!!)

2006-09-23: Picked up Passport with VISA from Blue Dot courier office (VFS did not hold it)

I called NVC Automated System and heard about my case that i got an missing or incomplete documents, after that i talk to operator and she said that my affidavit of support has just been completed and the next one will be the DS230, she said that mostly it will triggered that message after reviewing the affidavit of support. Hopefully NO RFE... Goodluck to you MrsWhizz. Congrats to you pja002 for your case complete your almost there on the final stage.
