Last year, i got W-2 AND 1099 FORM, SO for I-864, Do i had to list the income for 1099?

W-2 form is for the job i have right now ,work in an office, but i got 1099 for i worked as a babysitter in an church, they didn't gave me W-2,because i am not their employee, they sent me 1099 form for last year.

This kind of question is driving me nuts..man... :crying:

Do i have to ask the church gave me the pay tub for last 6 month like i did in W-2 transcript?

man.... :crying:

i will never figure this out... :help:

The other question is if i don't have enough income last 3 years to support my family come here and Nobody is doing the joint sponsor for me, but if i have enough money in the bank as deposit, can that work the same way as joint sponsor do? That money can also support our life in usa and that's my savings.

thanks a lot.

golden101,

You don't have to send 1099 or W2 to NVC. Instead get last 3 years IRS tax return transcripts and include in I-864 package. This is what I did.

Read this - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse

Asset (bank amount) can be included in I-864. But 1/3rd of the amount will be considered for a USC sponsor.

A workout for you to clarify it. For example, you have $15,000 in the bank and you make $16,000 a year at your work. Suppose your household is 2. Then you need to overcome (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf) $18,212 assuming you don't work with U.S armed forces and live in the mainland of the U.S.

Your income - $16,000

Asset - $15,000/3 = $5,000

Total Income - $21,000 Now you overcome the poverty line!

You know, when you fill out the i-864, they ask you where you work, i fill the both Full time and part time job, so they are going to see the pay stub for both of them, the only question is one is pay use W-2 form and the other one gave me 1099 Form at the end of the year. Whey i got the pay stubs for last 6 month for 1099 form..this gonna kill me...

This year W2 paystubs would be good enough. If you think asset is also needed, include the bank statements to support it (manual says last 12 months bank statement)
