Thres two sides of the coin - theres those that have a dire need for a case to move forward and those that think they may as well have a go because they still genuinely want to be with their partner asap. I can honestly say, the former is not a nice place to be in at all. Not only do you have the personal worries, but also worrying IF the request will be granted.

I can honestly say Id rather fall into the latter category any day of the week

I don't get a lot of things in life but when you can try something or anything even though you know you have a snow balls chance in hell because you.... LOVE & MISS..... your wife or your husband... then what else is there to understand my dear.

i would say, if you think you have a legit reason, go for it. the worst they can tell you is no, and you'll be in the same position you are in now.

i had a legit reason to request for an expedited review at the NVC level and it got approved, so try your hand and see what happens. i enlisted the help of my state rep to do it.

Its also the luck of the draw really too. To a certain extent. From the research Ive done, one of the adjudicating officers re the expedite was a former economics student and back teller before joining the uscis. Now, if that individual was adjudicating medical decisions for expedite its a little worrying, especially if its denied. Of course, what Im writing isnt set in stone, just my opinion. I think the only reason people should be criticised for an expedite - is if its denied, the reason was a real long shot...and most of all they moan about it. Thus far, in the time ive been reading about these service requests over the past month or two Ive not ran into any real negative comments. I guess thats why I was open with the reasons why we applied, as it is a genuine emergency, and I wanted peace of mind from other members as well as constructive points of view. Behind the scenes Ive been able to go into more detail and been assisted even when Ive found coping difficult. thats the beauty of this site.

Ive been a member for a few years now, on and off, but always return for point of reference. And, should my process be succcessful, the knowledge I gain throughout will remain and hopefully be put to good use helping out others.

I will moe than likely have to file an i601 - at first, i was thinking lawyer all the way, but advice and help ive got from sites like this make it possible to have the confidence to do it yourself.

Jackwipe Tier1 told my with we had to wait 30 days till we heard something..30 days from the RFE...which I know is bullshit. You get a different story with them CSR's all the time. So, what's the best and quickest way to get to a Tier2? The guy put my wife on hold and I don't know who the hell he went to talk to...morons.

as soon as the name and agent # is given, they begin their sermon.....

cut them short and say this is urgent i need to speak with a tier 2 please. sometimes the csr's will try and shout you down, so make sure you take note of everybodys name and number. if a csr is rude to your wife, she will have the details to inform the tier 2. to be honest, since the expedite, on friday morning, my wife was told exactly the same thing by a csr.....i was furious, as i knew it was a lie. so she called shortly after and found out further correct info. good luck man, ive pm'd you.
