The guys who have been sending 129F for approval like past few month without mistakes and problems,

How long it took you to get approved?

My application has been with VSC for a week, im just waiting for that special day. It is all up to vermont to shorten the process.

Your NOA2 is your approval of your petition. It means it will be moving on from the USCIS onto the U.S. Department of State, where you have medicals and your interview.

As far as time goes, every case is different. Even if it seems you may have a straight forward case, there can be hold ups. So it's best to not assume your timelines off of ones you see here. But if you want a general estimate, go to the "Immigration Timelines" up top. But keep in mind, even those averages can be inaccurate thanks to the IMBRA laws.

IMBRA is now in affect for everyone. However, those of us that have filed recently filled out the new I-129f form which has the IMBRA questions already on it. And therefore (shouldn't) be getting any RFEs asking the IMBRA questions.

My application has been at CSC for a week. So it'll be interesting to see how much slower CSC is than VSC. :)

Good luck!

As I understand what I've read on VJ correctly, NOA2 is an approval that states the beneficiary's entitled to try and get a visa (which is done at the interview) because the petitioner and the beneficiary meet the requirements. Before you get NOA2, you'll get NOA1, which is a statemente acknowledging receipt of the application.

You can have an estimate of the time it's been taking for approvals at VSC here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I figured its high time i added a nod here and there....see if i could move up the VJ ladder from newbie to say....em...junior member. Maybe the higher i climb up the VJ ladder, the greater the probability that i get touched by VSC.....no?....no correlation?? Oh well just a thought.........

By the way, are there any other Nigerians out here that have gone through the K1 recently? Would like to know what the average waiting time is between the time NVC sends out the package to Lagos and when interview date is set. I bet that probably depends on all the other variables, but any estimates offered here will do for now.

Thanks y`all.......

Hey Sling :)

While you are playing the waiting game, could you fill out your timeline and profile? We filed at Vermont the same time as you and it would be VERY beneficial if we could compare your timeline to ours.

Thanks a million!

Your NOA2 is your approval of your petition. It means it will be moving on from the USCIS onto the U.S. Department of State, where you have medicals and your interview.

Actually, it means the approved petition will be forwarded to the NVC (DoS), where they'll assign a new case number and run some security checks. The medical and interview will be held at the country where the beneficiary lives/is from.
