Just got another update for my EAD stating, "On October 20, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you."

I had gotten this same message on October 15th...huh!

Has anyone ever gotten this?

What does it mean?

Thanks.

You know, I applied for an EAD in advance of my AOS back in December 2009 (we couldn't afford to do AOS yet and I needed to get a job, I'm on K3 so getting an EAD card wasn't as difficult). In the process, I received not one but TWO letters in the mail saying my EAD card was in production. Better than not getting a letter at all, I'd say. :)

This happened to me with my EAD and my GC. I received an initial e-mail saying card production ordered, then about a week later I received another. And then a couple days after the second e-mail, the cards came. So I think it's safe to assume the first e-mail is the correct one.

This same thing happened to me too - first on Oct 18th and then again today. I think it's probably some sort of bug in the system. The last e-notification I received from USCIS was that they received my AOS package (ie: the NOA1). I got the same message 18 times in 1 day.

Bottom line: don't sweat it - the card will arrive soon. Judging from other people's timelines, it looks like it takes about 10-12 days, sometimes less.

Summer 1997 - met for the first time :)

04/2010 - reunited

12/18/09 - engaged

01/14/10 - I-129F mailed to CSC

01/19/10 - I-129F NOA1

02/22/10 - I-129F NOA2

03/01/10 - NVC sent along to Montreal embassy

03/09/10 - Embassy mailed packet 3

03/10/10 - Called NVC, spoke to an operator, received case number, verification of delivery to MTL

03/11/10 - Packet 3 Received from MTL embassy

03/19/10 - Packet 3 Mailed in

04/12/10 - Medical in Toronto

04/12/10 - Packet 3 Logged

04/23/10 - Packet 4 Received

06/11/10 - Interview Date! - Passed!

06/18/10 - Receive visa

07/14/10 - Enter USA

07/30/10 - Wedding Day

I got an email saying my I-129F was approved 2 weeks after my AOS was approved! I don't trust their computer system too much.

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

HaHA...got another EAD Update stating, "On October 22, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION." It goes from Card Production to Post Decision...lol.

So after your card gets produced, then they mail you the letter saying it got approved. Too funny.

From reading some posts on the updates on here...proves that the USCIS updates are not that a accurate.
