Hello vjer,

I hope everybody is well. My quick question is that I was notified by DOS that the embassy has mailed me a Call in letter which I did not receive as at now.And I still have the Call in letter the us embassy in Accra sent me last year inorder to come pick up my package, can I use that same letter to go to the embassy or I need to wait to receive a new one.Since its taking forever to receive the one they just mailed,I'm thinking if I can use the previous one.

I need an answer quick.

Thanks in advance!

For the recent call in letters for K-1s they has specific dates- so I would say you should email the embassy to see when you can pick up the packet and interview date- Like some of us said- if we waited for the letter to come we would STILL be waiting- Email is the best way to get the answer right now.

If your other call in letter is dated from last year they might not accept it.

Especially because your letter is for a different type of visa- they might not like that. Emails take a while for response- as we can all contest to! Give it time, i know its hard- it took along 3 weeks for them to get back to an email of mine!

We were all given specific times and dates- does your old letter have a specific time and date? If so i doubt the guard will let you in if it is from last year (just an inkling)

New to this immigration stuff... what is the difference between the K1 and the CR1? i am having to refile for my husband as he was denied, as my fiance, we have since married and are going for a spousal visa instead of the fiance visa... But I keep reading about CR1 visas???
