What a bunch of bs! The processing time for my local office is 5 months as posted by USCIS. I filed in April. Passed my interview in July.....

How much longer do I have to wait? And I'm not even allowed to inquire about my case....

Mar 09, 2007: I751 arrived at TSC

Mar 13, 2007: checks cleared bank

Mar 24, 2007: biometrics receipt dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: NOA1 dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: biometrics letter dated Mar 22

Apr 06, 2007: biometrics appointment

(Oct 09, 2007: called USCIS: service request sent to TSC)

Jan 31, 2008: case transferred to VSC (last touch date changed from 04/07/07 to 02/01/08)

Feb 01, 2008: touch

Feb 04, 2008: touch

(Feb 05, 2008: infopass appointment)

Feb 07, 2008: transfer notice dated Feb 01, 08

Feb 13, 2008: touch (Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.)

Feb 25, 2008: touch

Apr 11, 2008: approval email! (only took 1 year, 34 days!)

Apr 13, 2008: 2 more approval emails

Apr 16, 2008: email notice: "Approval notice sent"

Apr 18, 2008: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!! card received!

Tweety, did you get your call escalated to tier 2 IO? I'd get a congressman involved (hint: mid-term election time and you're their prospective vote) to speed up the process for you.

Waiting for your oath letter, hun? According to your interview sheet, if like ours, they have 120 days to send you that or you can take them to court that you may not want to do. Longest wait I have heard of so far was 15 months after the interview without doing anything about it, so it does seem to come sooner or later. Guess the USCIS figures since you dealt with them for several years now, you should be accustomed to waiting.

Could buy non-cancellation airline tickets, then it is sure to come in.

yeah, that would be just my luck... I have a longer trip planned for January which would make any oath ceremony in 2011 a pain to attend....

yeah, that would be just my luck... I have a longer trip planned for January which would make any oath ceremony in 2011 a pain to attend....

We were also right before the November election, but a couple of years ago, so called my senators office, got some real quick action, wife took her oath three days later after my call, and I called on a Friday, so two of those days were on a weekend.

Today the long awaited oath invitation letter came in. It's in November... right after the elections? lol (guess they didn't want me to vote... now I know what was up with my interviewer testing my political affiliation.... :blink:) oh well, just glad I will be done with USCIS soon!!!! :dance:

The timeline... (Frankfurt) for the kids visas

10/22/2007 Filed I-130 x 2 in person + paid 710 USD (355 each )

10/22/2007 Filed DS-230 part 1 x 2

10/22/2007 Received the document checklist and FRN (case) numbers

12/18/2007 I-130 petition approved, but I didn't know. I was away at the time, didn't get confirmation letters til I got back from the states.

12/20/2007 Notice of Approval arrives in tha mail. According to the date received stamp on back of envelope at my post box.

Will now wait til hubby is back from Iraq to fax in checklist readiness, even though, I have been ready since day of lodging I-130's. all except medical.

02/18/2008 Faxed the "checklist" back to the consulate.

02/25/2008 Medicals completed.

02/25/2008 Appt letters in mail for appt on March 7th. Cant go due to prior military commitments. Emailed consulate and received an amended appt date of March 12th 2008.

03/12/2008 Visa interview - APPROVED x 2

03/27/2008 Visa's finally generated. I emailed the consulate. they apologised for the delay. They forgot to issue the visas after approval.

03/31/2008 Received visas

04/26/2008 Flying out of Frankfurt to next duty station on orders.
