OK OK I know I could read all the info on the guides, go to 300 differant web sites and look up if the question has been posted before but I'm lazy and I want an answer NOW!!

where do we file the I 751?

When we filed all the previous stuff we lived in NJ, when we got the GC we lived in VA and NJ so kept the NJ office. Now we live in VA but our 90 days is up in June so we can file in March/April and by May we could be in another state (we're militry!) and have no idea where (we will know by March though)

See it wasn't as simple as you thought! Thanks in advance

Or, you could go to the ONE page with today's instructions; The I-751 form page at uscis.gov. You know, the page you should always check, anyway, regardless.

And read the form.

You know, I know you're frustrated with idiots who ask the same darn question every time without reading the form (as am I), but I thought it was perfectly clear from JHJ's post that she had a question that would not be answered from reading the form, which is why she chose to ask us instead. Which is what this forum is here for. I'm sure she knows what Service Center has jurisdiction over Virginia; her question was what to do if she'd be moving in the middle of the process, which is not addressed on the I-751 form, and which has caused people massive problems in the past when appointment letters arrive at the wrong address despite the address change having been done correctly. It's a valid concern, and it's not answered in either of the places you suggest.

hi spark, I disagree--I'm not frustrated in the way you think, but I also think that some questions really *should* be answered by the person asking. The OP indicates that it would require pages of research to answer that question, but the answer to the question she asked is right on page 2 of the form instructions.

I didn't read all the extras into her post; if someone moves, they have to deal with that when it comes. If someone knows they will be moving, there are ways to deal with that ahead of time too (APO, POB etc). The OP talked aboiut a lot of District Offices, but that's irrelevant at this point, isn't it?

Further, by the time she files, she'll have the info she needs anyway. :)

One way that people can show that they *have* had a look for the right answer is to offer: I think this is right, does anyone have a comment' or similar.
