Hi everyone!!

My wife’s sent them I-130 on 26th March 2010 and she received NOA1 in month of June 2010, now question about from which date we have to count our timeline to approve NOA2? From the Notice Date - 03rd June 2010 or Priority Date - 21st April 2010 and Received Date - “Not Mention”.

Please reply… We are so confused…

Start from the receipt date; the average waiting time is 5 months...in some cases it can be shorter or longer.

You take your case number and go here. Search for your case and it will indicate on a certain date USCIS has received your petition for certain type of VISA. Count exactly 160 days from that day into the future. That's when you can expect your NOA2. You may get it a little sooner, however, if USCIS gets less busy.

receipt date ie, when USCIS received it - it should say above the notice date when they rec'd it. according to their website, it is 5 months from the receipt date to expect a response. if it has been over, you can file a service request, or better yet, just go make an infopass appt at your local uscis office for a face to face with the local officers. they should be able to look into your case and tell you what the potential holdup is.
