K-3 using a law firm in Thailand

Here's the painful part.

Back when you filed, the K-3 visa was a viable option.

NOW, it's not so viable for you and your family anymore.

But there's good news !

You'll need to finish up with the IR-1 visa for the wife, and IR-2 visas for the step-children.

So, if you want to continue the process, as it is, time to get busy, and ignore that 'legal firm' - they are useless.

Good advice

The only thing law firms do for you is efficiently separate you from the available dollars or baht that you have.

They are also very good at making the process much longer than it needs to be because you still have to

prepare all the information which they will hire clerks to type into forms which may have typos on them

but for which YOU will hold the ultimate responsibility. Remember, law firms make you sign contracts which

leave them 100% off the hook (past performance being no guarantee of future results). When you use them

YOUR work will be not only to gather all the information (which you would do just as well on your own) but

also to double & triple check THEIR work. Unless you have a legal problem or a problem regarding a past

immigration violation, it makes ZERO sense to use a law firm. That is my standard spiel which I know by heart.
