Well, I wrote the letter. Congressman Andy Harris has this e-mail from web page system set up, so it was quite easy. No release form was provided or even any information to mail a physical letter. I hope I did the correct thing, and I hope that this helps the process speed up. Thank you guys again, I really appreciate it.

Oh, and I learned something new today... I am in the 1st Congressional District. It means absolutely nothing to me, but I know it! lol.

He is a Congressman, do I refer to him as Congressman or Senator? lol, I know it is a stupid question. I'm not into politcs.

Well it depends if he is a member of the house of representatives or the Senate. If the former, then it'd be representative. If the latter, then Senator.

Could someone send me a letter of request for the senators too? I am a couple of weeks shy, but figure I should get everything prepped since inevitably I will hear nothing once those 5 months are officially up.

November 5, 2010 - Touched

April 18, 2011 - NOA 2 received, finallllllly!!!!

April 26, 2011 - Got NVC Case Number

Well... I called USCIS today to try and place a Service Request. The gentleman was pleasent, and I thought we were about to get somewhere... That is when he told me that he could not place the Service Request unless it was due to extreme circumstances! Argh... Then proceeded to tell me that we are within the processing time because VSC is 47 days behind. How the hell does that make sense. False advertising on USCIS' website? My SO is feeling a lot better now that we are actually able to do something, which is a plus, but I want the happy feeling of "Baby, we will see and touch eachother soon." So there you have it.

Also, I have not received a response from my congressmand as of yet, how long should it usually take?

I hope that all this is resolved a.s.a.p!

Wait about a week i would say. From VJ responses they usually respond within 2-7 working days.

If it's any consolation, the CSC filers were also having some bad moments seeing a number of non-expedited Jan and Feb 2011 petitions approved ahead of the queue. (Crossing our fingers that CSC had put that bout of irrationality behind it). To each his own circle of hell
