i-134 questions

Hi all, Thanks again for all the responses to my last post.... Unfortunately I have a couple more questions regarding the i-134 affadavit of support form, and how to fill out when there are dependants, (children), involved..

I have read the instructions, checked out the example form, and almost made my eyes bleed reading the vast wealth of info in the forums, however I can't find anything that contains specific info regarding when the sponsor has children, and I was hoping that someone here may have some advice they could share :D

Q #7 - Annual income.

Can I use Child support payments as part of the annual income figure? if so do I just add these to the general figure?

I'm thinking of maybe adding an extra sheet on the end showing a breakdown of employment based income, plus the child support payments, with a combined total annual income based on these figures.. is that allowed? if so what info should I include on the additional sheet tying it to the original i-134 form?

Q #8 - Dependants

This question allows the choice of wholly or partially dependant... The court order between myself and their father shows 50 / 50 joint custody... I am therefore thinking that I should choose the 'partially' dependant option, as legally, (on paper), I only have them for half of each month... would that be a correct assumption based on my situation?

thanks in advance for your replies, and helping to keep a girl somewhat sane through this process

Oh and w00t w00t, our case got touched yesterday too

How do you count children of a divorced couple who reside with one parent part time?

A divorced parent's dependent children are members of his or her household, even if they live part of the time with the other parent. The child is a member of both parents' households on an Affidavit of Support unless a parent proves that he or she has no legal obligation to support the child.
