This mornings phone call...I spoke to the nicest lady ever (Sara) She said it has been sent to the NIV unit & my visa should be sent any day now.

Well that's all fine & dandy but is it true?

Scott will make his phone call late this afternoon & we haven't heard anything from the congresswoman yet.

I had to laugh at this tweet from USCIS:

DHS_cis_WR_at_normal.jpgUSCIS USCIS This week is Customer Service Week and USCIS has been working to improve the service that we provide. Check our blog:

I replied:

twitter_normal.jpgaurevoir_soleil AuRevoirSoleil @USCIS Really? I think Montreal needs some extra training! :)

Montreal isn't part of USCIS though, is it? I thought it fell under DOS.

i started out emailing and waiting a week before sending another..once i got three weeks in with nothing.. i emailed more than once a day..tried to be as annoying as possible.

i don't know how many emails montreal gets a day, i'm sure its a ton, but if you provide your case number and VISA/PASSPORT MISSING INTERVIEW 9/29 in the subject line they should have the decency to take a second to send you a short reply. drove me crazy!

Just curious, doesn't this Post have an extremely high volume of inquiries and a pretty standard wait time of 3 months from VSC approval to interview assignment date?

I am lucky??? What, lucky that I will have no job & no where to live in 3 wks? Sure it sux that you have been waiting your 9 months, but at least you have a roof over your head & money to buy food. I think I have good reason to panic!

It is sad you are going through this but also a lesson to other folks on the forum. The Embassy tells you not to quit your job, or take any other action like buying tickets etc, until after you have your VISA in hand for this specific reason. Its not unheard of for people to go into AP after the VISA interview and that can take a couple months. In some countries it is almost every case.

Best of luck, hope it goes through quickly
