See here is my problem..living in Maine I get the CBC but it comes in so crappy. And they only reasons I can think of why is 1. Time Warner Cable sucks or 2. CBC doesn't broadcast digitally. So its like a horrible tease trying to watch RMR but it rarely comes in. *sigh*

Here in the South they don't even know what CBC is let alone get it on any channel with or without cable.

Big Sigh! Rick Mercer is one of the ones I do miss - he is always fun. I just read in my former local newspaper that he spend some time with the Canadian Cowgirls Precision Riding team this week and the event will view on Tuesday. I used to be a volunteer at the Acceptional Riders (handicapped riders) programme at the stables owned by the founder of the Canadian Cowgirls and where the precision team is still based just outside of Chatham, Ontario. I would love to see that episode - hopefully, it will be posted on line sometime. Apparently, Rick knows how to ride well enough that the episode should be really good.

Mercer for prime Minister!! I go on google video and watch a lot of his stuff

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
