Hi. I am applying to remove conditions very shortly. Since I telecommute to work in Canada on a weekly basis will I have any issue crossing the border after my green card expires (Jan/2011). Any suggestions?

If you're actually physically crossing the border (a point on which your post confuses me--see the red-bold), you should carry the I-797 letter of extension each time to show to US-CBP.

Yes, I am physically in Canada only 2 days per week.

As my original reply (you may be able to get away with a 2-side copy rather than the original though).

Hi Sly, my permanent resident card expired in July so I just carry a copy of my extension letter when I commute back and forth each day. They rarely ask to see my permanent resident card in the Nexus lane but when they do, I just hand them the card and the extension letter and no problem at all.

Wish I had a nexus lane where I cross and they probably wont ever have one either. Thanks for the info. When the time comes I will make sure to carry a copy of that letter.
