Packet 3

How does packet 3 get sent to you from the Vancouver consulate? The reason I ask is sometimes Darcy has problems retrieving his mail.

Via regular Canada Post.

I had mine within 3 business days of faxing back the DS-230 & checksheet.

(Of course I lived in the Greater Vancouver area.)

If there's a concern over receiving regular mail, you can always email the consulate and find out if they will send it via a more secure method that you'll pay for.

Thank you! I will tell him to look out for it next week then. He has the DS230 all ready to go. Just waiting for the checklist so he can send it back.

I am waiting for my packet 3 from Vancouver as well. It has been there a long time.

I emailed them at the begning of the week and they said it was sent out last week....and still nothing so I guess I will email them to look into this again!

It took about a week for me to get packet 3 in the mail .. Longer then i expected as i have family in Vancouver and usually get mail from them in 2 days .. It seems a tad slow for whatever reason

It sends just regular canada post mail and it is an 8.5" x 11" white envelope that can be bent to fit in those small mail boxes at apartment buildings ...

I was waiting and waiting for my packet 3 from Vancouver and then I got a phone call from them saying that they got return to sender... Apparently on the I-129F we had managed to leave out the apartment number so when canada post arrived at my building to deliver it they didn't know which box to put it in ... So it was returned to the consulate ... Once I called the consulate and straightened it out I got the packet in 2 working day (I as well lived in the Greater Vancouver area) ...

Vancouver was very good at returning emails ... You could email them and just ask if your packet 3 has been mailed out yet and if so when ...
