Yahoo Archives as evidence.. How?????

My husband and I have been speaking mostly on Yahoo Instant Messenger since we met, If I were to print out all of our conversations, even only 3 months worth... the number of pages would be 1000+, wayyy too many to include with our CR-1 visa application. Also, we have been unable to find a way in which the time and date signature are included.

Is there anyone who has been approved with this type of evidence, and what did you include?

Please help!!

when u set up your yahoo u can go to preferences and have it record the time and date however if u didnt set this up it will not show it .. i included over 1500 pages of chat logs from secondlife and yahoo in my filling actaully proved to be the best because after i gave the officer the box of logs i was about to give him cards and stuff and he said no ty this box alone is enough lol

i had that box cards and letters from friends and family also had phone records even had her credit card statement (showing her buying the greyhound ticket for me to get to hers) anything that can show u as a couple please include basically as my lawyer said overwhelm them with evidence

Please don't include full logs, why would you want your privacy invaded like that? It actually stipulates somewhere they just want a log of call durations and frequency. As far as I know my husband just sent them a graphic showing duration details of all the Skype calls made (like up to 2 hours daily.). No you can't prove it, but can't prove cards etc either. This is all stuff that COULD be forged. That's why you back it up with stuff like passport stamps and travel receipts, and don't worry too much about proving the unprovable.

I['m pretty embarrassed that my husband sent them a letter I posted from Japan that had all pokemon printed on the paper and drawings I did of cute animals. I don't think stuff like this is even necessary. Both of us have a lot of pain when writing out cards, my hands hurt terribly from writing long letters. So we have very few letter correspondence but lots of passport stamps for visits. I'm hoping it's enough.

BTW if you get a Skype phone you can have the Skype calls on your mobile phone bill, it however is always to the same generic number (calls the skype service itself who direct you to the service user) but I think it's more concrete than a graphic. I'm keeping my bills as backup for interview stage.

I agree...there's just somethings you can't prove..you can show. I intend to print out our emails where we sent pics to eachother, wedding album photos. Our cell phone records are useless and text messages..my wife has an account on my line..it's not in her name..so what's the point? We do have old myspace correspondences and I do have records of buying the wedding ring..which by the way I paid on it over time when I was legally in the USA. Everytime I cross the border they got it in their system..although I never noticed a passport stamp, probably because I'm going from Canada to the USA? And I do have some mail sent to my wife's house for my US bills which I still pay on and her address is also noted on my Child Custody papers I have for the place of visitation when I get my son.

That's what I plan on submitting..if I've missed anything or if you think I've disregarded something please let me know. Hope my list of evidence spawns some ideas for others.

I used primarily Yahoo logs with a few photos. I just printed random samplings of our chats over the year or so prior to our filing. About 20 pages or so should be enough.

you could also do screen captures if you're on cam. i have tons of screen captures while my wife and i are chatting and i'll print them to add to the pile of evidence.
