I am confused by this question: I do/do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3. On the example form they put "n/a (K1 visa process for permanent residence). SO...what should be put as an answer there. What did other people put?!

I followed the Example forms to a tee.

I've heard differing opinions on this one. Supposedly London likes you to check "intend to support" and for the amount you can just write something like "all amounts necessary to insure that the beneficiary does not become a public charge"

Some consulates prefer "do not intend" while others don't specify. Since you're UK I would just check "intend"

Hope that helps, good luck! :star:

I went through consulate in Paris and I don't know if the prefer anything but my fiancée put "intend" and then wrote "room and board" as we are planning to live together at her house.

Good luck on your journey

quick correction:

What I said was incorrect. :bonk: I don't think you're ever supposed to check "do not intend" Instead you would leave both boxes unchecked and write N/A k-1 non-immigrant visa on the line below.

I'm having a brainless day, clearly. But regardless of that bad piece of information, for London you do definitely want to check intend!

Sorry!

I used the example form answer as a 'springboard' for what I put. Instead of clicking nothing and putting N/A, I clicked "I intend" and put this answer on the line below, "K-1 visa process for permanent residence (provide all expenses as necessary)"
