I have been corresponding with a filipina for quite some time, and was planning on visiting over Christmas. But now due to unexpected business I can not get there until March or April. How much of the K1 process can I start before we actually meet?? Also, she is from Cebu and I am trying to find someone reputable I can pay to help get her through this, locally in Cebu. Please any info is appreciated and I thank you in advance.

You cant start any k-1 visa process before you meet her. Its a requirement that you have met in the last 2 years to apply.

You could MAYBE fill out some of the info on the forms and collect things like birth certificates, but thats about it. Everything else has to be current to the petition filing.

You could attempt to start filling out some forms, but until you can prove that you've met in the last two years, you can't actually file. I suggest bringing the paperwork with you for your first visit so you can fill things out together, get original signatures, and take lots of pics! Gather as much evidence as you can and you'll be good to go once you're ready to file.

Probably the best/most-productive thing you could do would be to start educating yourself on the process now. You're in one of the right places (VJ).

The Guides, Flowcharts, Example Forms and of course the Forums are a great resource. Since you're already here, you're on the right track.
