Online Interview Scheduling Mistake

Hi guys,

I noticed that many people mentioned that when scheduling the interview online, you have to select "permanently immigrate to the US-ready to schedule"

However, i did not notice anything in packet 4 that said that.

It simply mentions to select "permenantly immigrate to the us" without saying K1 or ready to schedule.

So I chose "k1"

and in my confirmation email, it says "permanently immigrate to the US-K1 fiance"

please tell me that that is correct...

I dont want to have to wait longer because of a dumb error :(

I am freaking out right now

It sounds like their computer system options have changed. Last week when people chose K-1 the system did not let us through to schedule interviews, that's why we chose the Permanently Immigrate option. From what you said, the K-1 option works correctly now.

They know you need an interview, and they know your purpose. If there's a mistake there, just like if you typed or wrote a mistake on any form, they'll ask about it during the interview and correct it. The important thing is that you have an Appointment Date, so they will let you in the Consulate. If, when you log in and go to View Appointment Confirmation Page, you see an Appointment Date, you're all set.
