We never received a packet 3 and Moscow doesn't have a packet 4. We went to the Moscow embassy website and all the information from packet 3 is on their site, including the forms. The only invitation letter we had was the email from the embassy that granted us a change in interview date. Packet 3 finally arrived after the interview had already taken place but we were prepared thanks to the wealth of information on this site.

I recommend asking questions and performing searches in the regional forums for embassy specific details and/or user experiences. Also, embassy reviews in the portal section can provide you with information specific to your embassy.

Yeah, I have to agree. I've been wanting to write it since about the 2 or 3 month wait for NOA2. Our group has been one of the more patient and well mannered bunches.

Got the email today interview for Pui is June 8th. Seems so far away.

AOS Journey

11-04-2011 sent AOS to Chicago lockbox

11-07-2011 delivered

11-08-2011 Date on text messages but did not receive until 11-22-2011

11-23-2011 Check cashed.

11-25-2011 Hard copies of NOA1s

12-06-2012 Pui's Brother unexpectly passes away and we make an info pass appointment and receive an emergancy AP so she can return home. Pui leaves for Thailand for 2 weeks.

12-06-2012 Get a text message and email that she received an RFE

12-12-2012 RFE for original birth certificate. I swear we sent it along with a certificate translation of it.

12-20-2012 Pui returns from Thailand.

12-21-2012 We send the RFE back for with original birth certificate along with a new certificate of translation(I had to wait for her to return for her to sign)

12-26-2012 text and email they have received the RFE.

12-29-2012 Appointment for biometrics is 01-23-2012

01-13-2012 AP is approved.

01-23-2012 Biometrics appointment. Later during the evening the text and email saying the EAD is approved.

01-31-2012 EAD/AP combo card arrives.

05-22-2012 Email and text card is in production!

04/26/2011 - Interview! Visa APPROVED and issued! yAAAy

05/20/2011 - POE: LAX

06/03/2011 - Wedding!!

07/07/2011 - Adilet got his SSN!

07/13/2011 - NOA1 text message and an email

08/09/2011 - Biometrics taken

09/01/2011 - Email notification that our interview is set for October 14.

09/23/2011 - Email notification that Adilet's EAD is in production.

10/04/2011 - EAD in hands.

10/14/2011 - Interview. GC APPROVED on the spot! Yeah!

11/01/2011 - GC in hands

Thanks! Good luck Adeelwali! Adilet&Venera, I know it will go quick. I know with the Bangkok embassy they sometimes call and ask if you will change your date because someone else gave up their interview time so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

You know it would be awesome if in like 6 months there was a way for all of us to meet up all married and happy :) The september forum reunion !

I'm so thankful that everyone in this thread was so helpful and supportive because this visa is such a hard one to go through. So great to see everyone moving along!
