Hi

i was just going through our I130 papers. Is it necessary for my US husband to have a passport? We have his birth certificate. Its just that he dosnt have one. Oh man these took ages to fill out .... dont tell me we need to wait for his passport now ..............

Hi

Birth Certificate of USC is enough to prove the U.S citizenship.

I saved one step for you - dealing with DOS to get his passport :star: You bascially saved 4 weeks normal process and 2 weeks premium process of the U.S passport :star:

However, it is a good idea for him to get his passport if he wants to see the 'beauty' of Scotland!

Again if he wants (of course with the passport), he can visit you (beauty) in Scotland during the waiting period.
