hello!!

I'm living in Ireland with my USC fiance. He has dual citizenship with Ireland and US.

We're filing for a K-1 fiancee visa and we don't know where to send the form. To the embassy in Ireland or to the embassy where we plan to live in US, which is Phoenix..

Thanks for the help! And also, does anyone know if someone from Ireland can file an affidavit of support for us or must the person filing be in US? we won't be filing for ourselves as we both plan to leave for US at the same time

October 8th- Sent off K-1 visa package

October 21st- Received email saying we have been assigned to CSC

October 28th- Waiting on NOA1

October 29th- NOA1 received!!!

March 16th 2011- Received email saying petition for fiance has been approved and that NOA2 is in the mail!

April 12th 2011- Waiting on lettter with interview date from Dublin Embassy. Medical scheduled for 26th April

You aren't sending anything to an embassy at this point. You'll be sending your petition to the USCIS Service Center in Texas, first. From there, they will process your check and then forward your petition to either California or Vermont, whichever of the two deals with petitions for Arizona. Check the USCIS website for the exact address in Texas.

Yes, the petition goes to Texas. Petitions used to be sent directly to California or Vermont, but as of early August, ALL petitions are to be send to Texas for processing.

The US citizen files the Affidavit of Support. If the US citizen does not meet income requirements, another US citizen must apply as a co-sponsor.

Not EVERYONE, no. Your fiance's dad's wife may have sent her spousal visa to the embassy in Ireland because she was doing a direct consular filing. (DCF) I don't know a lot about them but if you're already married and have been living abroad for a certain minimum amount of time, some countries will let you file directly to the embassy in your country. This does not apply to K-1. K-1 goes to TX.
