hi all

i am currently unemployment ( i have filled out I864). the poverty line i need to meet is $18212. ( i have $10000 in my saving)

so i am showing my brother-in-law as a sponsor. i need to know if he makes about 48000 for 5 people (including my husband(beneficiary), would he be good enough for AOS?

i am confused how it is calculated. Please help me with math.

Thank you in advance

are you looking at the I-864-P, as well?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Here is the math. You told your BIL has a houshold of 5 (including your husband) and he earns $48K. So, you are all set. 125% Poverty line threshold for a size of 5 is $32,237.
