Hi everyone! I am so glad VSC is finally moving!

I have a question though. Do you guys think that a wedding on the 23rd of July is at all possible?

My fiance and I only planned to get married at a court in the US and just have the big Catholic wedding here in the Philippines next year. Plans have changed since his family wants us to have 2 big Catholic weddings now, 1 in the US and one here in the Philippines. Now I'm having massive convos with his mom, preparing and all. Set tentative dates and now she's working on having the Church and the reception reserved on the said date. I kind of feel like it's feasible but I am still having second thoughts. Your opinion/s on this will be highly appreciated. I don't want them to be paying for things and then suddenly have to move it 'coz I can't be there in time for it.

There are too many variables to call this one. If Vermont continues to move at its current speed, we should all be approved by April 1, but that speed can change radically, either up or down, in an instant. Some advance notice from Vermont for these changes would be nice, but telling us anything appears to be against their religion.

I do not know how long the consulate delays are for you, but they need to be added in. And then there are the "what ifs", the annoying delays that usually do not happen, but you have no guarantee that they won't.

So while July 23 does look good for you, it can't possibly be guaranteed. I would look for some way to push the abort button on that date in case you have to re-set it for a later one. Surely you don't want to lose the reception hall deposit and all the other monies you need to lay out to get this date locked down.

Yeeeeerrrr...true, true. I do wish VSC continues at its current speed--fingers and everything crossed! I'm gonna have to talk to my future mother-in-law and think things through. She's too excited. I feel so pressured. :girlwerewolf2xn:

Thank you!

As long as you can get the deposit credited towards a future date, I wouldn't worry about it. You will probably make the July 23, but you want that abort button just in case one of the "what ifs" slows you down.

I don't remember if I told you guys about our plans. We're having a civil wedding and a party in the USA for the K-1 and also have a religious ceremony. But the big wedding details are: Romania - 2012 - Black Sea beach and we've also chosen the wedding colors - our favorite colors - different shades of pink and blue. Woohooo, I can't wait!!! :luv:

27 NOV 2019 - I-129F mailed to Dallas, TX Lockbox

02 DEC 2019 - NOA1

23 MAR 2020 - NOA2

Can you change the date again if you have to? I don't want to be your wet blanket, but June 19 is a close call.
