I just got the noa1 in the mail. So i went and signed up to see when touches happen. The noa1 says "received date 09/02/10" and "notice date 09/03/10"

On the account after i put my case number in. it has "Last updated: 09/11/10". Is that because of me putting my account in. or was my case touched on a saturday? o.o

If it's because it's been touched. is there a way to see older touches?

thanks :D -crosses fingers for no RFE-

From what I've seen from a lot of people's timelines, is about a week afterwards, around there everyone seems to get a touch I think it's just when it goes from being disassembled the way you sent it in to being put in their folders and a barcode stuck on it and then on that never ending file of petitions lol...

Hello,

I, too, got a "last updated" or "touch" on the same day that I registered for status updates. I am now trying to accept the fact that it may be months before I get another "touch"...

Best of luck!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

Touches don't mean anything. Most cases are approved without them. Alla has been here 2 years as of today, never got a touch, never got an update, it still shows "initial review" and we never got the Package 3 or Package 4 either. get the visa and the green card. The rest is just bubblegum to chew on while you wait.

I got touched after 6.5 months from NOA1 the date went from 2-24-10 to 9-8-10 that was after I made the call to see why nothing has happpened since. USCIS said I should hear something by 9-25. Anyway that touch meant something for me. Ahh I hate to think it was just a bar code? LOL

We never got a touch before our NOA2 as well. And we never got a package 4. The embassy just emailed my fiance telling him the interview date and what to bring.

Although I do admit while I was waiting for our NOA2, I was checking almost everyday to see if we got a touch, haha.

On a saturday? Maybe it was the janitor or those cleaning the offices (also known, at least at the California center, as "las señoras de la limpieza") LOL

Just kidding, good luck to you

Yes but for me chewing bubble gum can relieve stress..((((..out of curiosity, why do you say to NEVER include letters addressing each other as husband and wife for the proof of relationship?
