Hello all,

I just had a question. I am currently waiting for my NOA2 to come in the mail and I am making sure that I gather everything I need for it in advance. However, I need my fiance to send me another copy of what we sent in for the I-129F. It says on the checklist to send the original documents. Does that mean I actually need his actual birth certificate if I included a copy of it in the I-129F?

I am so confused. Please help!

It says you are applying for a K-1, NVC will not need this. You'll collect it for the interview stage

As a Canadian, you are required to have your long form birth certificate (the one listing your parents' names). You can work on getting that as it can take 6 weeks to procure.

FWIW, photocopies showing seal/stamp were all that were required on I-129F submittal.

If you submitted an 'original seal'd/stamp'd' BC, sorry, you must get another one for the actual Visa Application, to submit to the Embassy.
