Hello Everyone,

I'm sure this question and respective answer is posted here somewhere, but after the NVC is done with your case, how do you know when they ship it to the Embassy? I know how to do the whole DHL thing, but is there a way of knowing when the case has left the NVC for the Conulate? :help:

Our case was done at the NVC yesterday and I'm ready for the interview! All I need is my medical:star:

Yea they can but it's easier if you just keep checking the AVR, because you don't have to spend such a long time waiting to speak to a phone operator.

Does the AVR change to say when your docs were mailed?

Just keep calling their phone number and checking AVR daily to hear the message that your case was forwarded to the consulate in *** on *** (date). Our case was completed on 08/18, we received an interview e-mail on 09/01, and 09/06 we heard the message on AVR about the case forwarded to the local consulate on 09/03. Best wishes for the rest of your journey!

I dunno, I like checking in with NVC and DOS -

here's some numbers, and what you can get -

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/

IMO, when DoS reports 'casefile opened' at the Embassy, wei - the IV unit has yer file and is ready to rock n roll .

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes it will change to something like "your case was completed on [date] and has been forwarded to the embassy in [city] on the [date]"
