Happy Thursday Ladies & Charles!

ceed604a8844b7b7e342f165152eef7b_happy_thursday-6456.gif

Dh agreed to go to a pumpkin patch but not to carving a pumpkin. He also agreed to go to a corn maze and I learned yesterday he likes mazes. He didn't agree to go to a commercially haunted house set up. We're supposed to go today but he stayed up all night studying and now is sleeping the day away so I'm not certain when we'll get. Maybe tomorrow? Only 9 more days until he leaves for 6 weeks. I'm already starting to miss him.

Charles I hope the night shifts end soon, Sara congrats on getting back in the saddle, Tamara thanks for sharing the humorous quote you found, Amber sorry the kids have to bundle up for the snow and I hope things mellow out for you soon, Jeanne sounds like lovely weather and scenery per usual. Hi Jenell, Sandy & Andrea. Andrea don't worry you didn't miss much this time around watching the haunted house. It barely seemed haunted this time. Had to tell the ghost it's going to have to do better than that next time because the banging is getting old. tongue.gif

Good afternoon MENA!!!! Hello ladies and Charles  I feel much better now, still hurts a little when I sneeze and cough though  Still waiting for habibi to be approved.. we filed in May.. they last touched the file July 10th and now nothing :crying: habibi wants to go to school to get better jobs.. my daughter wants to go to school and I do too.. I don't know what to do.. they will look at my income.. I would be considered maybe middle class, but I don't have a lot of money to spare :crying: I want a better life for my family as I'm sure everyone does here... I love my job for the money, but I would rather be in the music industry somehow or maybe information technology.. my daughter can draw EXTREMELY well but hasn't caught a break.. both her laptop and the desktop will have to be replaced.. she needs them to do her artwork to do commissions.. habibi doesn't know what he wants to study.. but everything hinges on him getting his 10 year card and then citizenship.. my mother who is about to be 84 is taking medicine for mild demetia.. at least to prevent memory loss.. I want Autumn to do well in school so that she will be able to apply for scholarships later on .. I want to move because I'm tired of hearing people shooting in the neighborhood.. I'm African- American but I know how to act... it makes me sad.. I went to the thrift store yesterday to find some clothes for us and this little black girl was talking to her mother.. she kept saying " I is" and her mother didn't correct her.. she looked like she was maybe 4 or 5... I was like  why on earth don't you correct her(to myself).. I mean public school is FREE.. she looked like she had on a uniform for maybe private school, but either way, dag(better than the other word) :bonk::bonk: .. all I can say is Lord bless everyone on Visa Journey.. I pray EVERYONE gets to be with their loved ones and everyone lives a happy and productive life.. I've been married twice before :bonk: and I didn't have pictures together with my husbands, bank accounts and ALL of the stuff Immigration is looking for.. I think they really need to treat us just like everyone else.. I know fraud happens, but in my case it NEVER was and NEVER will be.. I love my husband dearly and he's worried about all of this stuff.. we don't need the added stress of Immigration to compound the problems we already have.. I really want to cry right now but I'm at work.. I don't need a pill for this.. There is no pill for this.. I just want to live my life normally and can't.. Jeanne, I'd rather be flying too.. at least at that altitude I can clearly see my problems but I'm high above them so it doesn't really matter.. I guess that's why I go to the airport alot and watch the planes take off and land.. it's spiritual with me.. I feel so much peace.. I actually wanted to do space travel but alas the space program may be no more :crying: .. just pray for me please..again there is NO pill for me :crying::ot2: .. everyone have a great day

TGIF MENA!!

I don't really have any plans this weekend other than the weekly soccer game with the son.

I got hubby 2 pumpkins to carve this year! He has never experienced it so I think it will be fun. He got a little carried away decorating the yard with the lights and ended up putting christmas lights along with the black lights in our tree. LOL:rofl: So far, everyone who has seen it had said to us, ya know you have christmas lights up! I would say yeah, we are getting a jump on things for christmas this year!:luv: Hey, I wonder if I should put up the huge turkey balloon in the yard too? Just combine the whole autumn/winter theme together..

Wow Amber! I wish we got snow! Even just a sprinkle would be a nice change:whistle:

Jenell~ just remember God doesn't give us more than we can handle girl!! Be strong and know you are loved and cherished!

Hubby is wanting to enroll in school too, but he needs to improve on his reading. He seems to skim along to quickly and doesn't really try. So I am going to look into getting him into some kind of remedial reading class at the community college.

Ok, who has big plans this weekend????

Happy Friday morning to all! It's delightfully cool here this morning! WE can breathe!!!

Morning Andrea! Wish I could say we had some plans for the weekend, but it's just the books

that always win!! He has research projects, honor papers to write, group presentations to present,

and always the usual suspects (HOMEWORK)! Will meet one of his groups at the UofA library

this afternoon. He has some tough Profs....they have midterms every 3 wks. So I just do my own thing!!

Wishing everyone a good day and a great weekend!

We were a tad excited so we carved our pumpkins a little too early and now they're yucky and must be discarded. Oh well. I guess we get to carve more. :) I have a white one and will probably get a couple more orange ones. My husband is a lot more creative and excited over this than I thought he would be, lol. Of course, this is the guy who loves taking things apart and fixing them and gets excited when something breaks so he can play around with it. Weirdo.

Jenell, i'm so happy you are beginning to feel better. Always know that you are a wonderful woman and you do wonderful things for your family.

Sometimes we become so overwhelmed with worry, and having the visa process certainly doesn't help with the stress level. Just know one thing sweetie,

we are all going thru some part of this journey. You have many people here who love you and care for you. Just lean on us if you have to! We

have great ears for listening and long arms for hugs!

Hello ladies!

Yes TGIF another week has come and gone!!! Ahmed and I will have been married for 7 months Monday and thru this time apart he has remained the strong one. I have been so proud of him and really I love him more today than I did 7 months ago, I never knew it is possible to love someone so much and to see it grow and blossom like a lush valley of flowers. But ladies the time has finally begun to take its toll on my beloved Ahmed. He is hurting so much right now, please keep us in your prayers, really we need it so much right now. It is so sad to watch my strong husband go thru this and I cannot be there to comfort him. Today I was accepted for seasonal employment and it is freaking him out. It is only to make extra money for the holidays, but my Ahmed wishes to give me the money I need for the holidays, but I want him to keep that money for when he comes here so we can have a road trip thru the U.S. as our honeymoon. So I try to help him understand why I took this job, but right now I am so scared this job will come between us. I did agree when we married that I would not work, so it is like I am going back on that agreement. He has always supported me in my schooling and my pursuit of the PhD, BUT WE BOTH AGREED i WOULD NOT WORK. Anyways today is just a sad day and I really do not have any family to talk to so here I am dumping on all of you. Sorry.

Andrea I think it is awesome of your hubby to be here enjoying all the holiday festivities with you, I say go all out girl and deck the yard with every holiday season!!! Next year at this time Ahmed will be here and we will do the same!!!

Jeanne, I am very happy for the change in weather for you! It is so nice to be able to have weather that in conductive to breathing! Also you are very much a loving and supportive wife and your hubby is so lucky to have you!It may be difficult now but in the end there is much joy!!!

Have a wonderful Friday MENA!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday Ladies and Charles!

happy_friday_graphics_05.gif

I had a strong dream this morning I was attending New York University for my Masters program and I lived in very nice dorms.

I've been trying to research it all morning but I haven't been able to get on the internet so I went and ran errands today.

I was very productive. Now I'm at a coffee shop looking at New York University's Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Department.

Happy Caturday! I laughed when I saw this Caturday pix because of the Double Rainbow guy.

tumblr_l7i9yxMIE11qzpwi0o1_500.jpg

A week from today dh leaves for Baltimore. It raining a little here. It's cold now and it's going to stay cold until April. El Nina predictions are that we're going to have more snow than normal here. Dh gets to experience his first cold spell with his family back east. He sometimes mention how he is colder than the rest of us here and needs the heat higher but I think he's adapting well. Though he says he's afraid he's going to be colder than the rest of us. I don't know if Baltimore will be colder than here or about the same. It's a dry cold here and I would think it would be a wet cold in Baltimore being on the water. They're all going to go to a four day conference that came up in D.C. while he's there. It's for foreign graduates of medical universities. I think it will be good for all of them. I can't wait to hear the news about how life is going there and what all he's learning.

The cold is here to stay about the second week of October. Then it gets colder and can sometimes get below zero here. It stays bitter cold until Feb and then as Spring approaches it starts to get less cold but doesn't really let up until April.
