Ok, so my case was approved (NOA2) on August 26th and overnighted to NVC. Which means NVC receieved it on 27th. I been calling the AVR from last two weeks and it does not have any case #. I called again today and spoke to a rep. According to him they got the files from USCIS but it could take 6-8 weeks to enter into the system. ####### is up with that?? Anyone else experiencing that sort of delay.

6-8 weeks to enter into the system and then another 1+ month of going back and forth. Wasn't USCIS 5 months waiting torture enough that they had to add another layer. Anyways, I'm just venting...

Atleast, I'll get to see my wifey in 2 days :dance:

  • 04/15/2010: I-130 Hard copy received in mail
  • 08/26/?2010: I-130 Approved (Confirmed by phone)

  • 10/04/2010: I-864 AOS review fee ($88) paid online

I called again today and spoke to a rep. According to him they got the files from USCIS but it could take 6-8 weeks to enter into the system.

That's standard message from NVC.

On the NOA2 it says to give NVC 15 days to enter ur info in the system - when the 15 day passes - start harassing them! ;) Good luck!

Well, whichever way it is, we got our case# on the 14th day of USCIS approval and Tony got it on the 11th! :) And I think it's a good idea to remind you that the AVR not always updates on time (not to mention sometimes it doesn't update at all)... So, I suggest you call them after the 14-15 day and talk to a Human! :)

if you call the NVC number you can access the AVR and enter the CIS number you were given for NOA1.

from there you can see if you have an NVC number yet. without waiting for an operator.

Untill june it was 4-6 weeks but they increased it to up to 8 weeks.If the complete case takes up to 6 mos,you are considered lucky.Mine took almost 6 but instead of interview in july,we had it in aug(that's when delays started)so the whole process after done with NVC was 2 months of just waiting for interview.I know it's pain but think of all of those who are over a yr and still waiting...So as I said-if it ends by 6th month-consider yourself lucky!
