If you don't contact someone, something cannot be done and it will take some months to complete the process and this some wait will be painful.

Hey guys

Its 8 months now since my NOA1 , For sure after 6 months were up and no response my wife have made inquiries to see why my case is taking long , They said that they are only waiting for the background check so they can make a decision and it takes up to 180 days,in July they've sent me another NOA called Replacement receipt and it says that USCIS confirms me that they received my case O.O !!! They just received my case?????.anyways in the first of Augest my wife have contacted her Congressman and he and said that he believes that its taking too long and he is making inquiries for us and will let us know if they heard anything.....10 days after ....Congressman didn't hear anything from USCIS...20 more days....they still didn't hear anything and if they heard anything they will let us know.its been a month now.

My questions are,

1-How long does it take for Congressman to respond to USCIS?

2-Should we contact the senator ?

3-Can my lawyer do anything?

4-Can my wife meet someone there or make "infopass" appointment ?

5-Its about 50 days since they told me to wait 180 days for background check ,How long do you think its gonna take for a response ?

6- What would you do if you were me guys?

Any advice will be Appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance .

Sam

pikpakboom, i disagree, there's LOTS more that can be done. I've nothing against praying, but in most cases, it's a Human that gets things sorted, even with Divine Intervention.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

ok Sam - some easy peasie homework for today (for your wife)

--determine if the ILS at the Congressman's office is an intern or not

--inquire about this ILS's 'tenure' or 'length of service' doing this job.

If either 'domain' seems sketchy, or

if the ILS is an intern

or

if this ILS has been doing this job for less than a year

then THAT ILS person not really have the 'conduits' that yer wife needs, and

you may want to investigate the ILS person both of the Senators' offices.

At this stage, you want to find the RIGHT ILS person with some experience. An intern 'doing this job' is not so effective. Someone with less than a year of 'service' as an ILS is not so effective, as well.

Later, once you've gotten the background on all 3 ILSs (2 senators, 1 congressman) then you and yer wife determine which ILS to use, engage/sign release forms (if needed) and then start a new inquiry.

you mean i shouldn't contact the senator's office because i contacted the congressman ??

Please clarify

Thanks, Sam

A Senator is a part of Congress. There is a House Representative and a Senator; together they make up Congress. I know you probably don't know about that because of not being from here, but check and make sure your wife is contacting the right person.
