Wie macht man das eigentlich mit allem Zeug was man so im Koffer mitbringt und customs am Flughafen? Einfach nur das customs Formular ausfüllen? Und was schreibt man dann da drauf? ich hab das nie ausgefüllt bisher....also den Teil, wo man das aufführen soll was in den USA bleibt meinst du!?

ich hab das nie ausgefüllt auch wenn ich Geschenke oder Klamotten dort gelassen hab. so werd ich das jetzt auch wieder machen...die können sich ja denken dass meine Klamotten bei mir bleiben lol

außerdem sehen die ja auch anhand deinem I-94 das du ein Immigrant Visum hast

Also, ich habe damals auf meine Zollerklärung geschrieben "Personal and Household Effects - Immigrating to the U.S. on a K1 visa". Zur Sicherheit hatte ich aber auch noch mal eine Liste mit, wo ich genau aufgeschrieben hatte, was ich in meinen Koffern hatte. Letztendlich gab es bei mir aber überhaupt keine Zollkontrolle. Fragt mich bitte nicht, woran das lag - vielleicht, weil ich mit dem Schiff gekommen bin und nicht per Flugzeug. Ich hatte auch die ganze Zeit meine Koffer bei mir im Schiff (also nicht wie im Flugzeug aufgegeben).

Ich werde nichts schreiben, ich habe nur Klamotten und meine Brautkleid und die Katze. Aber letztes mal war ich so unglücklich das der POE Officer mir ausgewählt hat und hat alles geöffnet und 100 Fragen gestellt hat und hat mir gesagt das ich ausgewählt war weil ich habe gesagt ich habe Essen dabei, so ein Kekse -_- dumm. Aber ich werde Geld dabei haben.

Ach ja ! Wie macht ihr das mit ihr Geld? Ueberweisen auf US Konto von Verlobte oder mitnehmen in Flugzeug?

Ich hatte einen Teil meines Geldes bei mir, den Großteil habe ich meinem Mann auf unser gemeinsames Konto hier in den Staaten überwiesen, und dann habe ich noch ein Konto in Deutschland bei der DKB mit Onlinebanking. Damit kann man kostenlos im Ausland Geld abheben, und die Habenzinsen sind auch noch halbwegs annehmbar.

ich nehme das Geld nicht ins Flugzeug mit, das bleibt sicher auf dem Konto.

ich bin bisher auch bei der Sparkasse, aber das kostet 6,90€ im Monat Kontoführungsgebühr und Abheben von Geld im Ausland kostet auch was, daher wechsle ich jetzt zu comdirect: keine Kontoführungsgebühr und kostenlose Abhebung weltweit und dann kann ich per online banking meinen Kram erledigen.

Ich denke auch, im Hinblick auf eine eventuelle spätere Einbürgerung ist es sinnvoll, in Deutschland ein Konto zu behalten, damit man genügend ties hat und die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit behalten darf.
