Showing Marriage ended?

Hey,

A few years ago, I was applying for the K-3 spousal visa, the process was moving along, but the relationship ended before the process was completed and there was never an interview, I submitted a request to end the whole process and received a letter from the government that adhering to my request the application was withdrawn. We legally divorced in her home country, and now two years later, I have found a new person in my life, but afraid of being legally married in her home country and having the same bad experience, we are just engaged, and I'm applying for the fiance visa, K-1, as we are getting to know each other better.

So here are the questions, I am back in the U.S. and am working on my K-1 fiance visa paperwork, and it asks if you previously applied for a k-1 or k-3 visa? Somewhere I read it also asks to show that this previous marriage ended.

I need help in answering these questions. For answering the previously applied for k-1 or k-3 visa, I'm assuming the answer will be 'YES'. Or do they imply that we went through the whole process and was either approved or denied?

With regards to the second question, I don't have any proof here in the United States that my previous marriage ended, like all that paperwork is in Syria, and it will be a at least 3 months since I can go back and get that paperwork. Do I need to provide that paperwork now, when I'm first sending in my K-1 application?? What I do have here is that, I was applying for K-3, and then withdrew my application, and I have the paper sent by the immigration people that they have withdrawn my application as requested. It doesn't say anything for the reason (which was the divorce), but it does show that I've requested to withdraw previous application, and it has been done. Will this document be enough to show that my previous marriage has ended?

I appreciate any answers and advice I can get.

Thanks

You applied for a visa before however you did withdraw the petition before ever getting a visa, you answer yes, and you can make notation that the petition was withdrawn.

You need to provide proof NOW at the time of filing the I-129F that you are free to marry, so need to provide a copy of divorce decree with the I-129F.

12. Copy of final Divorce Decree(s) or Certificate(s) for the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) if either has been previously married. If the previous marriage of the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) ended due to the death of their spouse then include a Copy of Death Certificate(s) documenting that fact.
