Approved IR-1

Is anyone in my same situation or experienced this?.............

Our IR-1 was approved in January 2009 however, my husband could not come to the US due to an illness in his family (his father was dx with lung CA and my husband's Venezuelan Military insurance covers his father's chemo, etc.) Anyway, the visa expired in July 2009. LAst week I contacted the Embassy in Caracas and was told my husband needs another medical check-up, new copies of police records and updated tax information for me. Once we have this documentation, we can make an appointment. Does anyone know if our visa will be approved again (if medical and police are clear)and/or if we will be sent to administrative processing as before?

im gonna suggest to bring copys of the family members medical issue to the interview too, to show why he couldnt use the visa that he was issued and why hes needing to "renew" or get a new one stamped in his passport.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I second Inky. Bring all the documentation of that medical reason with all the requested documents to the Consulate.

Probably, you 'may' need to pay new IV fee. Check with the Consulate.
