Good morning all! Happy Sunday to everyone.

Had a couple little sprinkles last night. Did thunder which was exciting!!

Wael begins his classes tomorrow. Couldn't get his less expensive parking

area so ended up having to pay $560 for his pass to park, but at least it's good for the 2 semesters.

Told him we should have bought a plot around the UofA and rented it out!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Take care and have a great day!

I have literally a small mountain, not a hill, of laundry to do today. I will probably spend a good deal of time trying to avoid it before finally giving up and doing it. or closing the door to the laundry room and pretending it doesnt exist.

have a great day everyone :)

Good afternoon MENA!!! Hope everyone is enjoying the day... we are going to my cousin's house for dinner... her house was burned so she gets to rent a house for 6 months then has to leave that one if they are not finished building her another house... at least she's not at the hotel anymore, not that there's anything wrong with that...my cousin's daughter said she will miss the hottub and swimming pool... habibi has to work and doesn't get off until 7 and depending on traffic doesn't get home til 7:45.. i'm greatful that he has a job, but he wants one where he is off on the weekends...and with this application process with immigration he doesn't know what to do about finding another one....oh USCIS, please send him his greencard now so we can get on with life :help::crying:

Passage Revelation 19:11:

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

"satan is real and he's playing for keeps
God is realer and we are His sheep
which side are you on, CHOOSE, start moving your feet
choose JESUS and have ETERNAL PEACE" by GOD to me on 9/26/10 about 2am
Thank you Jesus!!!!

Afternoon MENA!!

I'm trying to relax today too!! Or avoid doing housework!! :innocent: I have a mountain of laundry too Sara! And if I want clean clothes for next week I better hop to it...oh well!

Wonderful~ I am so sorry about your sister's house! How devastating! The next thing to hurricane damage, fires scare the ####### out of me!!!!

Talking about scaring the ####### out of me!!! Hubby got his learner's permit to drive on Friday and my dad has taken it upon himself to teach him how to drive. Now mind you, hubby knows how to drive a motorcycle, but NOT a car! Well yesterday was the first day he actually got out on the road with other cars! My dad said he did great so last night, I didn't think anything of it about letting him drive us to the mosque! Well.......after we got there, I called my dad and told him that as of right now, I would NOT be the one driving with him on the road for at least 2 WEEKS!!! I thought I was going to have heart failure!!!!! Needless to say, 15 miles of me holding my breath, yelling watch out, slow down, speed up...I need a valium!!!!!

Really it was that bad.. or at least in my mind!!! No, I am sure he will get better! Just I cannot be the one teaching him!! From past experience, I couldn't ride with my daughter when she was learning too!

Anyways I hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Sunday is laundry day here too. I should also clean the bathrooms but not feeling it today. Cleaning the whole house is a time monster.

We finally got dh's desk set up in the arts and crafts room.

He'd been complaining about the distractions from studying at the kitchen table with people coming and going.

Their are four adults in this house.

Now he sits in isolation studying for 8+ hours a day.

My Uncle has been staying here most of the time during the summer.

He lives out of town but has work down in the city for the summer.

It's been good to have him around for dh because they have their "man time" together.

They're both philosophical and like to have long conversations over tea.

It keeps them both occupied which is fine by me instead of having to entertain them both.

He said to dh that this is the beginning of the end of their relationship.

That dh will go into his cave to study and he'll see he's studying and leave him alone.

Then they won't talk anymore. Dh tried to say it won't be like that.

I had to ask my Uncle if he wanted a desk in the arts and crafts room too.

He said no that he'd like an easy chair with a reading lamp.

I wish that I didn't have to be the maid and cook of the house.

I finally got my Uncle and dh to take one day a week where they make something for all of us to eat.

I also had lesson #3 on teaching dh how to load a dish washer. He doesn't trust them.

I told him I've been using them for 30 years. Now we have a deal where he will unload the dishes if I load them.

He doesn't always remember his part of the deal and tries to hand wash dishes.

I haven't got to those lesson of how to properly wash a dish yet.

You think doing the laundry would be easy to teach him but it's just easier if I do it.

I know he knows how to do it because he used his sisters washing machine in Egypt and they had one at the families house.

I think for some reason because our washer and dryer look different then in Egypt it's complicated to them.

He said he's not used to having a dryer separate from the washing machine.

Maybe he just doesn't want to do chores because it's women's work.

At least he takes out the trash every Sunday for Monday pick up.

We just got recycling in our neighborhood so now we have to manage that.

We've been taking our recycling into town when I was watching my baby niece in town.

He said he would vacuum but I've only seen him do it when he's really fed up that I won't do it.

He doesn't do much of it when he does it but he feels really proud and wants everybody to take notice.
