alrighty..One more question :P

I usually take the Windsor/Detroit Tunnel when crossing..

I'm not sure what to take:

Tunnel or bridge????

I can't find any reviews with the tunnel..

If anyone has had there visa processed at the tunnel..I would love to hear your experience!

Funny, because you're right. I do hear more people doing POE via the bridge than the tunnel. I'm not sure why that is. Sorry, that wasn't helpful. Just an observation. lol

not much help here, but i crossed at the ambassador bridge and they were extremely helpful. (even though they said crossing over on a saturday was probably the worst day to cross because they are so busy) The border patrol person who was at the booth actually seemed excited and extremely helpful. Inside they were apologetic for the wait because of how busy they were. I am sorry I can not help with the tunnel, but I tried very hard to stay away from there because they always seemed to power trip.

Congratulations by the way.

Not all POE does the visas.. might want to call the POE for the tunnel and ask if they process the visa there or not since it seems most take the bridge.

tunnel is slower and a pita. and you have all the greyhound busses trains etc stopping there with a procession line to go through CBP. i hate the tunnel. thus i chose the bridge.

The Tunnel is the better crossing location, hands down. They may have buses to deal with, but overall, they are FAR more professional than the staff at the bridge. In my personal experience, the staff at the bridge are either new recruits who are still on a learning curve, or long term staff who are out to prove how powerful they are.

Personally, I had more issues traveling via the tunnel when visiting throughout the K1 process, so it was no question for me to use the bridge when actually processing the visa.

Yes - I activated my Visa at the tunnel. The staff there were aloof but on whole, far more professional than experiences I've had at the bridge. I had a female officer, who took approximately 30-40 minutes to process my visa. Part of that was processing the paperwork on my vehicle which I imported. The entire process seemed very routine and at no time was I concerned that I would not be admitted.

I just recently activated my CR1 at the Ambassador Bridge.

I had absolutely zero problems.

They were nice and friendly, the guys were even joking around with us.

We had a good time people watching too while we just sat there and waited for them to do the paper work.
