Sign in failed 4 days after I submitted the DS-230 package  . Does anyone know how long will it take for MTL to assign an interview date? What are the next steps ? Thank you for any information.

Wow, four days after submitting the docs or four days after it entered their system?

Also, you've missed September interview time and will most like get an October. Good luck!

Oh, and if you haven't already done your medical exam, then go ahead and schedule that.

Congratulations!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but an October interview is not likely at Montreal. Waiting times are currently 3+ months post NVC completion to even get a date! You can check out this thread to find others that you can commiserate with while you wait.

IR1/CR1 Timeline to Montreal Interview

As far as the medical goes, in Canada, you will need your interview letter before you can book your medical and there are only 4 panel physicians in all of Canada that you can choose from. One in Vancouver, one in Toronto and two in Montreal.

Visit the Canada forum if you haven't already, lots of support there :)

Good luck!

OBX is right, if you just completed NVC you're looking at November-December for your interview. I'm sorry Montreal is so slow but it is just the way of the consulate I guess

Next step is wait. You'll get your interview letter via e-mail and you can use that letter to schedule your medical. If you haven't already, get your vaccination records and get your vaccines up to date. Take a look at the link below to see what vaccines you need

Good luck
