Hi everyone,

Today I got a letter dated 8/10/06 from NVC saying they had received the approved I-129F packet and that they would be sending it out in about a week. I called and asked for a ship date so I could look it up on dhl.com. She told me it was shipped 8/11/06. I checked but could not find it. The only one I saw for Managua was shipped today (8/14). Is it safe to assume she was confused? I checked all the packages shipped from the date of the letter to today.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Just keep checking daily - DHL aren't the quickest and I believe they wait until they get enough case notes to fill a parcel for a particular region/embassy - then you should be able to pick it up on there system. Just follow the steps below - and GOOD LUCK

There is an easy way to 'track' any parcels sent by the NVC to various Consulates - although its not specifically for your case. It just shows when parcels were sent to your region and is a good indication for you.

Go to - www.dhl.com

Select Location - USA

Point to 'Track'

Click on 'Track by reference'

Your reference is 'expedite iv section'

enter dates From - To

Click on Track

Once your case has left the NVC - email your Consulate and ask them to let you know when they receive your case - it may take a few days for them to reply - but don't duplicate the email as they do not like this and will send you a message to that fact.

For detailed timeline - click on my name - then read our story

Thank you for posting 'jenart'. I hope it gets to Vancouver by tomorrow or Friday since they mailed it on Monday. I am worried because a package went to Montreal and I am afraid they sent it to the wrong consulate. I hope its not mine.

I am getting irritated now. After a few days ago of being excited that my package was sent, it hasn't been. I just checked DHL and of all the items shipped out today mine wasn't one of them. I am not sure what to do now because NVC says it was sent out August 14th. Also, Vancouver has no record of it either. :(

I was told the same thing, but my package wasn't shipped until Aug. 15th. If you call DHL and give them the the zip code of where the package was shipped from, the date it was suppose to be shipped, and the destination they will give you the tracking number.

Thank you very much.

I used TPC's advise and called them. <sigh> There was nine petitions shipped to Vancouver on the 15th and there is no way to know if mine was one of them. I guess I just hope mine was one of them.

As Vartan has posted,

There are several references used by NVC depending on the visa type.

1. Expediate NIV section - For all non immigrant visa

2. Expediate IV section - For all Immigrant visa

3. Correnspondace

There are few more which I don't remember top of my head..

Well, after all, this gives us when the embassy received the package. The package may or may not have your case.
