Hey guys,

I have a quick question, my original and my wifes original birth certificate is torn up and super fragile, i know we have to send those in, do we need to get those attested/ notarized etc?

How about the PCCs do we need to get those attested/stampled?

Also, i already got MEA stamp on my RPO, should i just wait to get it on my LOCAL PCC or no?

If not, im going to have my wife send this out tonight.

Thanks!

Furqan,

Torn up is fine as long as it is readable. Both BC and PCC do not need attestation since they are from the proper agencies.

Hope you would get it back in the same shape after the interview :-)

Loto

Loto,

Hyderabad doesnt process the IV visas only Non IV. My brother got his Visa from Hyderabad.

But my wifes is chennai.

Apparently effective august 16th you have to pay VFS a courier charge of 387rps because the chennai consulate will no longer send back Passports in hand with the applicants. That sucks.

But aside from that, last question, the RPO has MEA on it, should i get it on the LOCAL pcc too? and no attestation to the BC right? either of ours?

Also loto

on DS 230 line 22 and 27 i cant fit her parents full address, should i just put see attached?

29 would be none because we have no children right?

31a would be myself because she will be coming back with me correct?

33 all of her education- i just put all the info since primary school with just the city of the school. Thats ok right?

35 i put never since shes never been

43a i put no and yes to receiving a card, and 43b i put yes.

Am i good?

or any corrections?

Also loto

on DS 230 line 22 and 27 i cant fit her parents full address, should i just put see attached? I would recommend to write by hand and fit it.

29 would be none because we have no children right? NONE

31a would be myself because she will be coming back with me correct? No. You should put NONE

33 all of her education- i just put all the info since primary school with just the city of the school. Thats ok right? OK, but fill all the columns there.

35 i put never since shes never been That's correct - NEVER

43a i put no and yes to receiving a card, and 43b i put yes. Correct

Am i good?

or any corrections?

Accompanying here is "not applicable" to you. I had put NONE and had no issues. Even if you put your name, it doesn't matter.

Did you take the entire set copy of I-130, IV and AOS with you?

This link http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_bring_your_foreign_spouse_to_live_in_the_US has some more info.

thank you for the link Loto.

There are a few things that i dont have. Out of my I130, i dont think i have a copy of my G325a address history continuation.

My AOS, i included my original 1099 for 2009 but forgot to make copies of that.

Aside from that, i have everything else. :)

Let me know if i should know anything else, and i will put NONE over there.

Zeban if you sent in your original 1099 you should go ahead and order your Wages and Income Tax Transcripts. It is free to order, but does take some time.

On the form 4506-T from the IRS you can select what type of transcripts you want, and Wages & Income will have the 1099 info.

Or you can call the issuing corporation for you 1099 and have them send you a duplicate.

I think your G325a is not as relevant anymore, they will mainly look at the address information in the DS-230 from this point on.
