SD-230 Copies of everything??

Ok so I have assembled the packet of DS-230 Question:

• Make a copy of all pertaining documents or a copy of everything I am sending, even application?
• I printed the cover letter for the bill after it was paid, do I also send the receipt that says it's paid? (or is it redundant)

You will likely not remember the contents of the package you sent by this time next week. So for organization go ahead and keep a copy of everything you have sent in from page first to page last. Remember to keep track of the order in which you assembled the package also.

The receipt of payment is not required. Some people have sent it (ex: LotofPatience) but since it is not asked for it is up to you.

I did not send my receipt of payment with my AOS package.

it's the original/certified copy PLUS

a regular photocopy. (see the 4th page or, read all 7 pages)

re: complete copy of everything you send in - that's for YOUR files, not NVC.

to NVC? Absolutely not.

In India, to get medical appointment, the interview appointment letter, passport and other details are needed.

Just a note to Debby - Don't open the medical envelope - submit to the Consulate as is, if you are not aware of it.

About the timing - if the Nigerian PCC is only valid for 3 months, when would be the right time for my husband to go get it and mail to me so that I can mail to the NVC with the DS-230? I just am afraid it would expire before the actual interview took place!

I am not sure it is valid for 3 months only! Normally 6 months or 1 year is the PCC period.

If you think it will expire in 3 months, your best bet would be when your case is transferred to NVC. Also, if it expires on the interview day, Consulate might ask for another recent one as well.
