I was reading thru the NVC flowchart to get an understanding of what's will happen next (my I-130 is at the NVC and I just paid the fees) and I'm confused about something...

it says that after I pay the fees in 2-3 days, NVC will "generate" a I-864 and the immigrant visa but aren't these available online for download anyway?

What's the difference or does the NVC mail a package with more things?

Thanks@

It means that in 2-3 business days, your receipt should show as "paid" instead of "in process" and whenever you see the paid status then you can print the "cover sheet" that you need to attach to the whole package that you are going to mail with the I864. It will also give you a link and instructions on what to do next, which is pretty much fill out the paperwork for the affidavit of support. So you dont really need to wait for the instructions.. you can start preparing that right now while you wait for the "cover sheet" to generate so you can print it out and mail it with the forms.

You are going to find the barcode in the cover sheet, you only need to print out the cover sheet from the payment site whenever the status shows paid and the barcode is going to be at the bottom of the cover sheet, thats why you have to put the cover sheet as the first sheet of your whole package.

You get one cover sheet (barcode) for the I864 and another one for the DS230
