Timeline

My Fiance's cousins Fiance filed their petition in mid May. He received the NOA1 then the file was touched a week later then nothing. Now his timeline for Vermont was about 53 days but he wasn't aware of that. I told him to make a call for an update which he did last Friday. He was put on hold while the assistant " checked " on something for 10 minutes then came back and said " nope, everything is fine". Monday his file was touched and then approved today. Strangely enough, they didn't file a letter of intent for her but was still approved anyways.

He filed in Vermont which is about 53 days approval time currently but he wasn't aware of that. So, they had to wait an additional 6 weeks or so for no reason at all.

Please everyone, read up. All the info you need is right here, USCIS website and the Embassy's website. You should know the process inside and out if your serious about getting your fiance here with you. I see people make posts everyday asking questions that have been asked many times over and are readily available by doing a simple search.

Don't rely on just one "expert" in the process. Check and confirm everything also on your own. I sent my fiance every link I could find so she knows exactly what she will be subjected too. Instead of downloading music, she is reading, filling out forms to practice and make sure hers are filled out properly and she has already gathered her passport, criminal history and all the documents that she will need for the interview. My girl reads and speaks english very good but if yours doesn't then she/he may need additional time to find someone to interpret.

Good luck to you all!!!
