RFE! Should I have waited for the letter???

I got told there was an RFE cause on question 30 there wasn't enough space for me to fill out all the places my wife has lived since 16 so they said I needed to fill it back out and attach another sheet of paper finishing it (on the phone) so I filled it out and sent it in express mail with a letter stating what it was for and everything. Should I have waited for the letter? Wasn't sure but I didn't want to wait another few days to get it and then miss the next scheduling time....Thanks for any help!!

Do you know at what address you are going to send this RFE?

When they send the letter they also send a bar coded sheet with the address where you're supposed to send the response. The bar coded sheet helps to identify to what case are the documents for. Without it, it might take a while to match it up to your case.

That's why I asked. It is very important them to locate to your original file while responding to RFE. So, always better to wait the RFE reach by mail before responding.

you can send in more documents at any time.

even if you don't send anything, they may overlook your mistake and not send an RFE. but the embassy may not overlook it.

just be sure you have all your case info and a letter attached.

when you get the postal letter stating exactly what the RFE is for,

submit it (again) following the instructions in the RFE, exactly.

oh - they are confused NOW - as you did not include the barcoded letter from the RFE postal packet that you were SUPPOSED to include.

Sending it in, again, with the barcoded bit from the POSTAL LETTER / RFE is useful, always.

Also to add: The RFE letter states to return the RFE with your eveidence, or it did 2 years ago when I got mine. Dont take chances, do it right, it avoids future RFE's.

Sent I-130 petition Sept. 27th, 2011 for CR-1 Visa.

Make sure your trays and seat backs are in their up-right positions, its going to be a hell of a ride on USCIS Airways.
