Hi everyone! I've been reading Visa Journey for the last few months while my fiance and I worked through my visa process. It has been very reassuring to see all of your stories! I felt compelled to finally sign up and post now that my visa has been approved but here's the thing...

I was so excited when I left my interview at the Vancouver consulate that I don't remember if they gave me my Canadian passport back. I emailed the K visa unit but in case they don't get back to me in time I thought it would be faster to ask all of you helpful folks! I pick up my visa today, but my passport isn't in its usual spot. Do they keep your passport until you pick up your visa? Please note I am a Canadian citizen approved for a K-1 visa at the US consulate in Vancouver, BC.

Anyway, I'm going to go back to pulling apart my room, hoping that I'm worried about nothing...

Thanks!

Your visa will be in your passport :)

Conversely, your passport will be stuck to, and wrapped around, your visa. :D

DON'T PANIC
