I-129F Petition, Photo Presentation

Hi Fellow VJ'ers

This is my first, of no doubt many, posts.So please be gentle My question relates to how people displayed their proof of meeting photos in the Petition. From reading these boards, I know that people have done this in different ways. Just interested to see the most popular method. And yes, i know it is only secondary evidence, so won't be printing out a whole pile. My Fiancee wants to do 2 per page secured with photo corners, with captions underneath which will be replicated on the back of each photo. Sound Good??

Well, all I did was put them all in a ziploc sandwich bag... taped a little piece of paper on it that said "Proof of Meeting: Photos" and stapled that to a piece of paper. And we're at the interview stage now so it was apparently good enough XD

We only scanned photos on to regular paper there is really no need to place actual photos into packet. we sent 11 all scanned to paper. Captions were written out beside photos. place photo was taken, who was in photo and date stamp was in photo from camera.

well....i will tell you the best way...put rouge on your lips and kiss every picture and write I LOVE YOU IMMIGRATION OFFICER ..looooooooooooooooool...then he is gonna finish it in a day

I made a little table on a word document and posted a few pictures with our names, date and location. I then printed it out and added it to the file. For me, doing it this way made it easier to punch the two holes at the top because everything was the same thickness.

I put ours in a ziploc bag, too. It worked fine. Good luck with your petition!

I printed ours out at Fred Meyer and put captions on the back as in who is in the pic, where we are at, and a month and year. In a ziploc bag paper clipped in the section of our petition for photos. Worked fine since we are almost done with the process! Good luck

I over did it a bit with our photos. I pasted between 4 and 6 photos per page onto a Word document and wrote captions with the dates under each photo. We turned in about 25 pictures in all (much more than necessary, I know, but hopefully they won't mind). I was going to print out the photos and put them in an envelope but I figured it would be less bulky and easier for them to go through if they were on paper documents (plus lighter for shipping costs).

You really don't have to overload with many photos for the initial petition (although a few are fine) at least for the UK. Bring as many as you want to the interview but they probably will not even ask for them.

I got photographs of my husband and I during his trip to Singapore printed at a Walgreens, wrote the date, venue and occasion on the back and just put it into an unsealed envelope labeled "PHOTOS". Worked well enough for me!

Oh, and save some from a different occasion (for me, it was photographs of MY trip to the USA) to pull out as secondary ammo at the interview. At least, that's what I did. Hehe.
