We should refer this guy to the controversial thread about what constitutes "being free to marry"....

Please... no... anything but that again...

** runs and hides **

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

DeathKnell,

I'm going to comment here against my better judgement of this being a huge joke.

If you are serious about this than I pray for you first of all. I would like to say welcome to america!! 3 years must be a good experience!! maybe you haven't had enough experience to know that saying "I'm an American citizen" doesn't go to far around here.

Now, the person your trying to pull at emotionally (the adjudicator) will never have the "honor" of reading your well written letter. Your petition will be scanned for completeness and an RFE will be sent for divorce papers. That's the best case scenario!!

But if it's advice your looking for!!

FORGET THE WEDDING!!!! NOT HAPPENING ANYTIME SOON!!!!!!!!

06/30/06- sent I-129F petition to VSC.

07/11/06- NOA1 (received in mail)

07/19/06- RFE received in mail, IMBRA

07/28/06- e-mail, IMBRA RFE received at VSC

09/11/06- called VSC, told I'm with an adjudicating officer

09/25/06- called VSC, told to file expedited service, outside 60 days of RFE received date

09/26/06- sent expedited service request to VSC via fax and snail mail

09/26/06- Senators and Congressman making inquiries into my petition

09/29/06- expedited service request approved by VSC director

10/04/06- e-mail NOA2 approved!!!!!!

10/05/06- NVC received

10/06/06- NVC forwarded to Poland Embassy

10/16/06- Packet #3 received

10/17/06- Packet #3 sent to US Embassy Warsaw

10/30/06- Packet #4 received

10/30/06- Interview scheduled for November 22nd!!!

11/30/06- Visa in hand, via DHL!!!!

12/05/06- Ania and I arrive together in the USA

02/11/07- Ania applied for Social Security Card

02/17/07- Ania and I were MARRIED!!!!!!

07/24/07- Social Security Card in hand- after some minor issues and a little procrastination :)

10/14/07- I-485, I-765, and permission to travel mailed to USCIS

10/17/07- Received NOA1

12/17/07- I-485 shipped to California Service Center for faster service

12/17/07- I-765 approved new card should be mailed within 30 days, Advanced parole approved

02/28/08- AOS APPROVED!!!! PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD RECEIVED!!!!! (card received couple weeks after approval)

Lets not shoot the messenger here.

Lets hasten to get my I-129Fs approved...am still counting on the impressionable letter I sent the USCIS officer who will have the honor to process my application, asking them to process the divorce decree requirement with some trust that as a USC, I will do what I promise.

Theres no reason for them not to trust that I will do so, as its hard enough having one lady..2 would kill me, hence the name I chose (if you must know!).

Jesus!!! I can't believe I sat here and read this whole thread!!! it was just too funny!!! If there is any truth to this?? all I can say is.... it's amazing how many people jump into something without any research.

Considering the ID he chose 'Death Knell' along with this whole scenario.....I seriously doubt it. If there is truth there is definitely an omen in his choice of ID as this is the end/death of his petition.

death· knell

n.

1. A stroke or tolling of a bell, announcing a death; a knell{1}.

2. Hence: (figuratively) A sign or harbinger of the end, death, or passing away of anything.

CHAPTER 4 IN WHICH DEATHNELL RECEIVES AN RFE:

RFE: DEAR SIR, YOUR APPLICATION AND LETTER OF INTENT TO MARRY INDICATE YOU ARE CURRENTLY MARRIED? IN THE INTERESTS OF JUSTICE WE ARE GIVING YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROVE THAT THIS WAS A TYPO. PLEASE SUBMIT ALL DOCUMENTATION RELATING TO YOUR STATUS AS ELIGIBLE TO MARRY THE BENEFICIARY OF YOUR PETITION.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am an american now. And isn't it obvious to you that if you allow my fiance in to this great country my current wife and I will surely divorce??? Besides, while I hoped you would get my girlfriend here in a week, you have taken three weeks to get me this letter informing me you have a silly issue with my application.

I am an american now, you can trust me. Get my girlfriend here and my wife will surely divorce me immediately. Then I won't be alone, because my girlfriend is here.

Jeez! Get a grip and give me a visa!

Sincerely,

Deathknell

So, obviously no one is questioning why Deathknell's current wife is requesting a divorce . . . . I'm certainly not.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I asked them to call me if they have questions, and we can go over this with them. I dont see why they will refuse to trust me...

They will not trust you because you have failed to read and comply with the law. You both MUST be free and legal to marry at the time of application. Thus, you have proved you are dishonest, and think the law does not apply to you.
