So my hubby emailed the consulate early this AM to ask if there was any possible way we (my son and I) could get an interview appt. sooner, rather than later, because his deployment date got pushed up. And when he got off work today, he called me - all sorts of excited to tell me that Montreal emailed him back with an interview date of AUGUST 4th!!

I was sooooooooo excited - till I thought about something - what *if* I call the medical center in Montreal tomorrow to set up a medical appt and they are fully booked?!? Because Aug 4th is a Wed, we were thinking we'd fly down on Sun and get our medical done Monday morning first thing.

I'm actually kinda worried cause Aug 4th is only 13 days away!

Yipes, I thought (wrongly it seems) that when they DID give you a date, it would be approx 30 days notice lol.

Guess I'll call Medisys early tomorrow morning and see what they tell me.

You are lucky, that's all I can say. I filed my I-130 8 months ahead of you and I'm still waiting for an interview date.

Congrats!! Usually they give you around 30 days, but I guess you get two weeks! Yay?

If Medisys can't fit you in for some reason, you might be able to try Dr. Seiden.

Thanks everyone!

Well my hubby forwarded the email to me and in it, there's this one line

"If this date is not convenient for them, please reply to this email by writing ATTENTION OP10 on the subject line. As soon as I receive the email, another appointment date will be provided to these two applicants and they will be contacted accordingly

So to me, it seems like they are trying to be somewhat flexible on the date, tho I could totally be misunderstanding.

Thanks for all the congratulations! I appreciate them and this site so much.

Married, I'm not allowed (due to OPSEC) to say where he's going, but it's a rather dangerous place and I really wish he wasn't going.

This is great news! My fiance is in the military as well (just finished his tour, we waited to start our process) and his superiors have highly recommended I get an interview as soon as possible so I can move and we marry while on block leave to avoid the problems of him leaving for regular out of state training afterwards. Problem is his leave is mid August to mid September and I still haven't received confirmation that Montreal has our I-129F package that was sent to the on July 8. I'll be calling again on Monday and the SECOND we have a case number with Montreal my fiance will be emailing them with our situation.

Congrats! Don't freak out, everything will be fine. You are very lucky.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

07/09/2014 sent in IR-1 packet to Chicago Lockbox

07/17/2014 check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Hey just have a quick question, in the email we got for our interview, one of the things it lists to bring with me is "proof of domicile"

What the heck do they mean by this? My domicile in Canada? Or my hubby's in the US?

Thanks for any help!

I've been waiting for 11 weeks for an interview date!! My case was completed on May 11th! I haven't seen my husband in so long and don't have enough ties to visit him in the States.. because of work and money it's difficult for him to visit me here for any longer than a few days. How unfair that I've had to wait for months and months and this person receive an early August date with a simple phone call only 6 days after the case completion. Wow.. I am shocked and so heartbroken.
