So here's a quick question, as of the 13th of July they changed the fee amounts for visas, so how much does it now cost for the I-130?, before it was $355 now I'm not so sure. I checked on the chart & I THINK it's $330 but I just want to be sure. The USCIS website still says $355 though.

I-130 petition still 355, fees at NVC have changed up.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

That's correct! New IV fee $404 and AOS review fee $88, effective 07/13/2010.

Footenote: Fee keep on increasing, the speed of approval does not :-)

there is a difference between patience and persistence, I have plenty of the second but still working on the first...

Once the I-130 is approved, it's sent off to NVC for further processing.

If you've not gotten the NOA-2, I-797-C 'Notice of Approval' - then you might want to make some time, click all the links above, read all pages, make copious notes, make yer plan for what YOU want to do, and how, for NVC Processing. AOS = I-864, IV = DS-230.
