Request for Evidence - G325A

Hi -

We were asked to resend our G325A's. My husband sent me his, but accidentally typed in an incorrect DOB for his mother. (It's off by one day - my father-in-law, and myself, we born on the same day, and his mother was born the day after. So he just made a stupid, silly typo)

Would it be okay to simply hand-correct the mistake myself? Leave it be? Send the form in with a letter of explanation signed by me? Hand-correct the mistake, and recopy the form (thus the signature is a copy, which makes me uncomfortable). The deadline is by August 1 and I'm getting antsy.

Thanks.

I think hand correct with a signed letter of explanation is your best bet. Definitely don't photocopy it.

Thanks! Do you think after I've sent the forms in, I should offer to send a correct, signed form in later?

May I ask you why were asked to resend the G-325a forms? Thanks!

Certainly.

I was dumb, and interpreted the directions that said, "You don't have to repeat information that you've already answered" (or something along those lines) to mean that I didn't have to fill out the sections re: our names, DOBs, and parental information. We just filled out the rest of the form (the ones with work, residences, etc.)

The the RFE actually did not say that this was the reason - but that's what I'm guessing is the problem.

Hm, I don't think that's necessary since you're allowed to hand write the forms, and since it's his mom's birthday that was incorrect and not his, a correction should be fine :)
