ok, anyway continuing, falando de gafes teve um dia que fomos na vizinha e eu estava tentando explicar a grossura da panqueca que eu faço que é tipo uma folha, aí, no meu bom inglês a la penelope cruz eu disse it looks like a sheet, vocês podem imaginar what it sounded like :lol:

Eu aprendi na marra a pronunciar diferent cheat de s-h-i-t de sheet, ainda sheet e s-h-i-t eu me confundo um pouco, um dia em Balneário Camboriú eu disse pro Charles que eu somente o deixaria se eu descobrisse que ele estava cheating on me, e é claro que it sounded like shitting on me and he was like #######?

I had the same problem with beach once when I was living in Arizona. We were going to LA and I said it'd be fun to see Malibu beach and of course it sounded like ######. :P

Btw, take a look at this vid from youtube.com which shows pretty much how this words can be confusing. :P

O mesmo aconteceu comigo quando eu fazia intercâmbio na Carolina do Norte. A professora de Física tinha passado uns exercícios em folhas de papel e eu queria dizer: "I don't have this sheet"...mas saiu "I don't have this sh###!!". Quando ela viu que era eu que tinha dito isso morreu de dar risada! Ela e todo mundo na sala!! :blush::lol:

Gente, hoje registramos o nosso casamento no consulado brasileiro e peguei um novo passaporte! Finalmente posso usar o sobrenome dele oficialmente!

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

Marcela, espero que consiga arrumar o computador, eu passei por isso tantas vezes até que virei uma fanática por limpeza (do computador), todo sábado sem falta eu tinha um encontro especial com o meu computador, eu passava anti-virus, anti-spyware, enfim, 4 ou 5 diferente tipos de limpeza para manter o computador sempre funcionando. Nunca mais me deu problema.

alguma de vcs levou umas coisinhas básicas na mala qndo foi? Tipo café, chocolate...

Pelo que eu saiba a única coisa que eles encrencam é levar comida. Eu levei um chocolate que eu comprei que é castanha do pará (minha favorita que eu nunca encontro aqui :( ) na minha bagagem de mão e comi no avião, just in case de eles me encherem o saco em Houston. Até remédio para cólica que eu tinha e dorflex deixaram passar, com certeza não viram, pois estava na bagagem que eu despachei. Mas comida eu não aconselho.

Laura, que pena. Eu não vejo a hora de a gente ter um cachorro. Quando o Charles tem weird schedules que nem ultimamente, trabalhando das 7 da noite as 7 da manhã, eu fico sozinha aqui nesta casa grande meio longe da civilização, um cachorro com certeza me faria sentir bem mais segura. Andei até dormindo com uma das armas dele do meu lado, pois qualquer barulho de madrugada scare de hellll outta me :P
